No boil, temp got up to 174 for hopstand. Threw wrong set up minerals in. Going to dilute until its at appropriate gravity. Ended up at 3.2 (the dash over over the 3 gallon mark). Gravity of the raw wort was 16.8. 8.25 after dilution. On 4th day of fermentation its down to 4.2. After 6 days it's still chugging but only down to 4.0. Dry hopped anyway because it tastes good. 4.2 at kegging.
What Styles Are These Recipes?
It's not uncommon for a homebrewer to craft a homebrew recipe that does not satisfy the specific guidelines of the BJCP style guidelines. For example, a homebrewer might make an IPA recipe and decide they want it to be more bitter or darker than the defined style.
There are plenty of great homebrew recipes that fall into this category and they should not be overlooked.
