Steinfest 1 Partigyle. Mash ONLY first 5 listed malts then drain half to boil and follow hop schedule. Then add the rest of the malts and boil after red ale is in fermenter. Add columbus hops as necessary to brown ale, brown ale only needs to boil from the latest hop addition. (Brown malt: 1.5 lbs, munich: 1 lb, flaked oats: 1 lb, dextrose if desired to raise ABV). It's not uncommon for a homebrewer to craft a homebrew recipe that does not satisfy the specific guidelines of the BJCP style guidelines. For example, a homebrewer might make an IPA recipe and decide they want it to be more bitter or darker than the defined style.
