After fermenting, I'm going to blend with ~3 gallons of 1.082 beer (Quad grain bill fermented with English ale yeast) to form the base going into a third-use bourbon barrel. (I actually added about 1.5-2 gallons directly into the other carboy that was almost finished fermenting.) The combined/average OG should be around 1.110. In terms of FG, I'm looking to end up around 1.030-36 (11-12%) going into the barrel.

What Styles Are These Recipes?
It's not uncommon for a homebrewer to craft a homebrew recipe that does not satisfy the specific guidelines of the BJCP style guidelines. For example, a homebrewer might make an IPA recipe and decide they want it to be more bitter or darker than the defined style.
There are plenty of great homebrew recipes that fall into this category and they should not be overlooked.
