First use of Idaho 7. Blended with Centennial and Brewer's Gold. All three hops have properties that can survive hot-side applications (basically anything before flameout). See Scott Janish's article: "Survivables - Unpacking Hot-Side Hop Flavor." This recipe is nothing more than our simple house brew, dedicated to angry oranges everywhere who make baseless claims, reaching their conclusion first and working backwards, desperately trying to fill in the holes.
What Styles Are These Recipes?
It's not uncommon for a homebrewer to craft a homebrew recipe that does not satisfy the specific guidelines of the BJCP style guidelines. For example, a homebrewer might make an IPA recipe and decide they want it to be more bitter or darker than the defined style.
There are plenty of great homebrew recipes that fall into this category and they should not be overlooked.
