I wasn't able to list boil as zero minutes. I added 5 gallons of water to my brew pot and brought it to 160 degrees. Added 3 lbs of malt extract and stirred. Then brought up to boil. 15 minutes in added 1.2 lbs sugar. 1 oz Columbus in stead of Hopshot because LHBS was out of it. Added rest of DME at flameout. Thought about waiting until 160 but why not be sure of sanitation. After 15 minutes flame out and added 1.5 oz citra and 2.5 oz mosaic. Chill and add yeast. Was 1.100

What Styles Are These Recipes?

It's not uncommon for a homebrewer to craft a homebrew recipe that does not satisfy the specific guidelines of the BJCP style guidelines. For example, a homebrewer might make an IPA recipe and decide they want it to be more bitter or darker than the defined style.

There are plenty of great homebrew recipes that fall into this category and they should not be overlooked.
