cheap wash for making clean base spirit (vodka, gin). Can use backset for making next batch; just add ingredients to backset after distilling prior wash, add cool water to top off 6 gallon carboy, chilling to 90F before adding yeast (or dumping back on trub). substitute 2 packs of baker's yeast instead of turbo yeast, but expect an extra 7 days to finish fermenting, minimum of 14-21 days. Add a nutrient if it stalls or won't start after a couple days.

What Styles Are These Recipes?
It's not uncommon for a homebrewer to craft a homebrew recipe that does not satisfy the specific guidelines of the BJCP style guidelines. For example, a homebrewer might make an IPA recipe and decide they want it to be more bitter or darker than the defined style.
There are plenty of great homebrew recipes that fall into this category and they should not be overlooked.
